Growing up in central New York, I learned early on that life’s only as good as you are. I discovered photography in senior high school, the camera became my excuse to explore everything around me. A once shy teenager, somehow everyone seemed approachable with my camera in hand. I now live in Columbus, Ohio and work as a full-time staff photographer and videographer for the State of Ohio.
After covering northern Ohio for more than 20 years as a photojournalist, I’ve learned my strongest asset as a photographer is my ability to juggle all types of assignments with an equal degree of success. I think the sign of a good photographer are the ones who can turn it on at a seconds notice no matter what else is happening in the moment.
When I’m not making photographs, I enjoy rollerblading, mountain biking, kayaking and outdoor adventure.
